This notice describes how Verona (“we”, “us”, “the houses”) handles personal information when you visit the site, create an account, buy a piece, leave a review or a comment, write the desk, or join the seasonal letter. It is a working policy for a small shop — not a substitute for advice in every place we ship. If something here does not match how we actually behave, write us and we will correct the page.
Who we are
Verona is two houses: Capulet for women and Montague for men. The desk takes orders, accounts, and correspondence. For privacy questions, use the contact page and mark the subject as privacy.
What we collect
- An account. If you register, we keep the email and password you choose (the password is stored in a form we cannot read), plus the name and addresses you save for checkout. Sign-in cookies keep you logged in on this device. You may shop as a guest instead; we then keep the order without creating a login.
- A purchase. Name, email, phone if you leave one, billing and shipping addresses, the pieces, sizes, and colours, packing notes, tax and shipping for the destination, and the order history tied to that email or account. We use this to take payment, ship cloth, handle returns, and keep accounts.
- Payment. Cards and wallets are handled by our payment partner. We receive a confirmation that the charge succeeded, not a card number to keep on this site.
- Reviews. If you rate or write about a piece, we keep the name you give, the rating, the text, the product, and the date. We may also keep the email used so we can tell a genuine order from spam. The review itself may appear on the product page. Email is not published with it.
- Comments. If you comment on a journal post or other page that allows it, we keep the name, email, optional website, the comment, the date, and ordinary technical details used to stop spam (such as IP address). The name and comment are public. Email is not shown.
- Letters to the desk. Name, email, optional house, and the message you send from the contact page, so we can reply.
- The seasonal letter. An email address, if you ask to be written to. You may leave the list at any time.
- The cart and cookies. The cart, a delivery region used to estimate tax and shipping, and a session that keeps you signed in live in cookies or similar storage on your browser. They exist so the shop works, not to follow you around the rest of the web. You may refuse cookies in the browser; the cart will then forget itself.
- Ordinary logs. A host may record IP address, browser, device, pages requested, and the time, to keep the site standing and to investigate abuse. We may also look at simple counts of which pages are used.
How we use it
To run your account, show the cart, complete and ship an order, calculate tax and shipping, handle a return or exchange, publish the review or comment you chose to leave, answer a letter, send the seasonal note you asked for, prevent fraud and spam, improve the site, and meet the law (tax, accounts, a dispute). We do not sell personal information, and we do not use it to auction advertising against your name.
What is public
Product reviews and journal comments are meant to be read by other visitors. Do not put an address, phone number, or anything you would not put on a postcard. We may edit or remove a review or comment that is unlawful, abusive, or looks like spam. Staff notes on an order stay private.
Sharing
We share what a partner must have to do their job: a payment partner that takes the card, a shipper, a host that runs the site, an email tool that sends a receipt or the seasonal letter, or an accountant. We will also share what the law requires. We do not pass the letter list or the customer book to another shop for their own mailings.
How long we keep it
Cart and session cookies expire on their own. Account details stay until you close the account, except records we must keep for tax and accounts. Orders, invoices, and payment confirmations are kept as long as those rules ask, then discarded. A review or comment stays with the page unless you ask us to take it down or we remove it. A letter address is kept until you ask to be struck from the list. A contact message is kept long enough to answer it, and a little longer if the matter is not closed.
Your choices and rights
You may update an account, log out, shop as a guest, or ask us to close the account. You may ask us to correct or delete a review or comment you left. You may leave the seasonal letter by writing the desk. Depending on where you live, you may also ask to see, correct, or delete what we hold. We may need to confirm it is you.
If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, you may complain to your local data authority. California residents may ask what we have collected and to delete it; we still do not sell that information.
Children
Capulet and Montague include cloth for girls and boys. Those pieces are sold to parents and other adults, not to the child who will wear them. Accounts, checkout, reviews, comments, and the seasonal letter are for people sixteen and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from a child. If you believe a child has left us an email, an account, or a comment, write the desk and we will remove it.
When this page changes
If our practice changes, we will rewrite this notice and date it. Continued use of the site after that date is an understanding of the new lines.
Questions belong at the desk. Write to us.
